original article appeared on kenya today.com News just in indicate that another ODM Loyalist Willy Omondi Kangaw is dead, he was involved in a tragic road accident as he made his way from Migori to Kisumu. Willy hailed from Nyatike, Migori County and was a super gronds mobilizer for ODM party and a people person. May God rest his soul in eternal peace. HERE are messages of tribute from friends in ODM; Humprey Kajimba >>>There can’t be a person in the larger Kachieng’ who hasn’t paused for a moment over the last hour to reflect on how transient, how cruel fate can be. After the death of this gentleman of noble character, a person who rallied friends of all ages to raise over a million shillings through his relentlessly upbeat and truly courageous fundraising for Gunga Secondary School, I can’t help but wonder why those who are so full of life can be so swiftly taken from us. When I heard the news about your death Kangaw Willy my mind instantly reflected on the days you escorted me to Moi International Airport whenever I had completed my field work in Mombasa, the good times and your desire to relocate to Kisumu, how you left Mombasa Cement with the courage to fend for alternative which you finally accomplished; all these have rarely taken off my mind. Your angel wing has seen me through triumphs, imbuing me with the mental strength to keep on going, whatever happens. Just like few others who turn tragedy into positivity, you refused to let misfortune define your life. And just as William’s close friends and family will be struggling to understand how someone so vital and charismatic can no longer be here, I too wonder how Omondi has been taken from us. Your life and head-on approach to both political and development issues is simply inspirational. Your sheer compassion for others exudes through every word. And at this moment, just thinking about your promised visit which will forever remain a dream is a tribute. May your soul Rest in Peace thuon jambaka nyakwar Biu wuod Ngaw. Thuon onindo wuod Min Nike. Norman Magaya: Am totally devastated. My great friend Kangaw Willy you can’t do this to us. Not at this time. You were a warrior capable of conquering anything.
